Flow cytometric analysis of Human Jagged 1 expression on transfected cells. CHO cells transfected with the human JAG1 gene were stained with either PE Mouse IgG1, κ Isotype Control (Cat. No. 554680, dashed line histogram) or PE Mouse Anti-Human Jagged1 (Cat. No. 565495, solid line histogram). The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of the intact transfected CHO cells. Flow cytometry was performed on a BD FACSCanto™ II flow cytometry system.

Product Notices
- Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
- An isotype control should be used at the same concentration as the antibody of interest.
- Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.

The MHJ1-152 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to human Jagged1, a type I transmembrane protein that is one of the ligands for the Notch family of receptors. It is expressed in many fetal and adult tissues including stromal and epithelial cells. JAG1 gene mutations are associated with defects of the heart, liver, kidney and other tissues. Through its interaction with the Notch proteins, Jagged1 affects the development of the hematopoietic system and numerous organs. Jagged1 was assigned the CD339 designation at the 8th International Workshop on Human Leucocyte Differentiation Antigens.
