Smart Panel Design
Lower Sequencing Cost and Increase Sensitivity with SMART Panel Design
SMART panel design helps lower sequencing cost while increasing data resolution by using pre-titrated, optimal concentrations of antibody-oligos against select high-expressing primary markers in the panel. This allows re-allocation of sequencing reads otherwise allotted to these high expressors to now detect secondary and tertiary cell surface markers expressed at lower levels. With SMART panel design approach, markers low in expression can be quantified without having to perform deeper sequencing and incurring high sequencing costs. The four specificities selected for SMART panel design in the BD® OMICS-One Adaptive Protein Panel are CD4, CD43, CD44 and HLA-DR.
SMART Panel Design Provides Better Resolution of Low Expressors

CD4, CD44, CD43 and HLA-DR detection is not compromised

Lowly expressed markers are detected at better resolution

Performance
The BD® OMICS-One Adaptive Protein Panel consists of 59 different specificities against major T-cell and B-cell markers from combined BD® OMICS-One T-Cell and B-Cell Protein Panels. Our lyophilized panel yields data comparable with freshly prepared mixture of the same 59 specificities of BD® AbSeq Antibody-Oligo Reagents.

Ensuring optimal performance of antibodies when multiple specificities are brought together in a panel is critical for CITE-seq experiments. We tested the performance of the individual antibody-oligos included in the BD® OMICS-One Adaptive Protein Panel and demonstrated that all 59 antibody-oligos in the panel reliably detect their respective, individual targets.

We recognize there might be certain markers at times important for your studies that you would like to add to our pre-made panels. Keeping this in mind, BD® OMICS-One Protein Panels are designed to be flexible and can accommodate drop-in BD® AbSeq Antibody-Oligos of your choice.

BD® OMICS-One Protein Panels are designed keeping multiomics in mind. These protein panels work seamlessly with BD Rhapsody™ Single-Cell Whole Transcriptome and TCR/BCR profiling assays.
