Our operator training courses are designed to quickly get you up and running on your instrument. Our courses are delivered in small class sizes with a 2-to-1 ratio of learners-to-instrument to provide plenty of hands-on time and opportunity to get comfortable with the day-to-day operation of the software and cytometer.
BD LSRFortessa™ and BD LSRFortessa™ X-20 operator training courses
We offer training either at the BD Training Center in Milpitas, California or at your lab, virtually or in person. Regardless of the location or delivery method, our operator courses cover the same materials designed to provide you with the practical knowledge and skills to acquire and analyze multicolor data and perform maintenance tasks on your cytometer and include:
- General principles of flow cytometry
- Cytometer operation, maintenance and troubleshooting common hardware and software issues
- Cytometer QC using BD® Cytometer Setup and Tracking (CS&T) Application
- Compensation, data acquisition and analysis, and data management using BD FACSDiva™ Software
- Data acquisition and analysis and maintenance and troubleshooting using BD® High Throughput Sampler (HTS) (if you select the extra day of training in the Operator course including the BD® High Throughput Sampler)

This 2-day operator training course is for new operators or operators who have not had formal training on the BD LSRFortessa™ or BD LSRFortessa™ X-20 Cell Analyzer.
Operator course including the BD® High Throughput Sampler
Need training using the BD® High Throughput Sampler? This 3-day operator training course includes everything in the above course plus and an additional day of training using the HTS.
Training virtually online
Training delivered online through a web conferencing application. This training will use the instrument and software in your lab. A one-hour orientation will be conducted several weeks prior to the scheduled class.
Virtual operator course
This 2-day operator training course is for new operators or operators who have not had formal training on the BD LSRFortessa™ or BD LSRFortessa™ X-20 Cell Analyzer.
Virtual operator course including the BD® High Throughput Sampler
