CD117, clone 104D2, is derived from fusion of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with the megakaryoctic cell line MOLM-1.
CD117 binds to the receptor for stem cell factor (SCF). It selectively recognizes NIH-3T3 cells transfected with human c-kit, the gene that codes for SCF-R. CD117 antibody does not block the epitope that binds SCF.
Allophycocyanin (APC), is an accessory photosynthetic pigment found in blue-green algae. Its molecular weight is approximately 105 kDa. APC has six phycocyanobilin chromophores per molecule, which makes it a very bright fluorochrome that is highly suitable for flow cytometry applications. Due to nearly identical excitation and emission properties but different spillover characteristics, APC and Alexa Fluor® 647 cannot be used simultaneously
Preparation and Storage
The PE conjugate is supplied as 10 µg in 1.0 mL (10 µg/mL) of phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). The PerCP-Cy5.5 conjugate is supplied as 1 µg in 1.0 mL (1 µg/mL) of PBS. The PE-Cy7 conjugate is supplied as 6.25 µg in 0.5 mL (12.5 µg/mL) of PBS. The APC conjugate is supplied as 5 µg in 0.5 mL (10 µg/mL) of PBS. PBS contains gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide.
Store vials at 2°C–8°C. Conjugated forms should not be frozen. Protect from exposure to light. Each reagent is stable until the expiration date shown on the bottle label when stored as directed.
