Description
BD™ stabilizing fixative is intended for preserving immunofluorescence staining of human peripheral blood cells prior to flow cytometric analysis. When using a lyse/wash (LW) staining procedure, resuspend the washed cells in BD stabilizing fixative rather than phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing formaldehyde. BD stabilizing fixative, 3X concentrate, is provided as 90 mL of a proprietary buffered solution containing 3% paraformaldehyde. This quantity is sufficient for 500 tests when used in BD Biosciences LW procedures.
Preparation And Storage
BD stabilizing fixative (3X) is stable for the period shown on the bottle label when stored as directed. Do not use this reagent if discoloration occurs or a precipitate forms.
