CD25, clone 2A3, is derived from hybridization of mouse myeloma cell line NS-1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with PHA-activated human T lymphocytes.
CD25 (Anti–IL-2R) recognizes an antigen that is the human low-affinity interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R). The antigen has a molecular weight of 55 kilodaltons (kd).
Allophycocyanin (APC), is an accessory photosynthetic pigment found in blue-green algae. Its molecular weight is approximately 105 kDa. APC has six phycocyanobilin chromophores per molecule, which makes it a very bright fluorochrome that is highly suitable for flow cytometry applications. Due to nearly identical excitation and emission properties but different spillover characteristics, APC and Alexa Fluor® 647 cannot be used simultaneously
Preparation and Storage
The monoclonal antibody is supplied as 10 µg puriﬁed immunoglobulin in 2.0 mL (5 µg/mL) of PBS. The FITC conjugate is supplied as 20 µg in 2.0 mL (10 µg/mL) of PBS. The PE conjugate is supplied as 3 µg in 1.0 mL (3 µg/mL) of PBS. The PE-Cy7 conjugate is supplied as 6.25 µg in 0.5 mL (12.5 µg/mL) of PBS. The APC conjugate is supplied as 6 µg in 0.5 mL (12 µg/mL) of PBS. PBS contains gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide.
Store vials at 2° to 8°C. Conjugated forms should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label when stored as directed.
