Preparation And Storage

The FITC and PE conjugates are each supplied in 1.0 mL of PBS. The APC conjugate is supplied in 0.5 mL. Please refer to the vial label for antibody concentration. PBS contains gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide. Vials should be stored at 2° to 8°C. Conjugated forms should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label when stored as directed.

NEU 24.7

Anti–HER-2/neu, clone Neu 24.7, is derived from the fusion of NSO myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice injected with living SKBR3 human breast carcinoma cells.

Anti–HER-2/neu recognizes a single protein of 185 kdaltons from HER-2 transfected cells.

APC
Allophycocyanin (APC), is part of the BD family of phycobiliprotein dyes. This fluorochrome is a multimeric fluorescent phycobiliprotein with excitation maximum (Ex Max) of 651 nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 660 nm. APC is designed to be excited by the Red (627-640 nm) laser and detected using an optical filter centered near 660 nm (e.g., a 660/20 nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.
