Description
3-Amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC) is a substrate for peroxidase and is a widely-used chromogen for ELISPOT.
Preparation And Storage
Recommended Assay Procedures
No more than 15 minutes prior to use, mix one drop (20 µL) of AEC Chromogen with each 1 mL of AEC Substrate, vortex or mix. Discard any remaining prepared AEC Substrate after use.
Warning: AEC Substrate (MN 51-2577KC) contains 7.99% methanol (w/w).

Avoid breathing mist/vapours/spray.
IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth.

Store locked up. Dispose of contents/container to an appropriate treatment and disposal facility in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and product characteristics at time of disposal.
Danger: AEC Chromogen (MN 51-2578KC) contains 97.8% N,N-dimethylformamide (w/w).

Wash thoroughly after handling.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention
Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
