Waters/BD Biosciences Transaction: Customer FAQs

1. What changes can I expect now that the transaction has closed?
Our focus remains on delivering the best-in-class service and products you have come to expect from us. We are operating business as usual and there are no changes for customers, collaborators or partners of Waters or the legacy BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business units at this time.
2. Are there any immediate changes to prices or product offerings?
We are excited to offer a highly complementary, comprehensive product portfolio across liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, materials characterization, flow cytometry, and diagnostic solutions. There are no changes to product offerings, product pricing, or availability.
3. Can I order BD Bioscience and BD Diagnostic Solutions products from Waters or vice versa?
Customers should continue to order their products through existing channels and contacts. We are not yet able to immediately combine customers or orders in our systems, and we will communicate to our customers in advance of any changes to our processes.
4. How does this transaction affect my distributor contract/agreement?
Our relationship with distributors will remain the same; please order through your current systems.
5. Will there be changes to how my products are installed and serviced?
There will be no changes to who and how products are installed and serviced today. Customers should contact their respective Waters or BD service representatives or technical support specialists for more information.
6. How do I report customer complaints?
Please submit complaints through existing BD and/or Waters processes until notified otherwise. While the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business units will be transitioning to Waters, there is no change in the reporting of any product complaints.
