Description
Molecular genetic medium based on the Terrific Broth formulation designed by Tartof and Hobbs to improve yield of plasmid-bearing Escherichia coli strains over LB Broth. The lack of glucose in the formulation lation prevents acetate build-up in the fermentation of the organism. The buffering system, 1.14% dipotassium phosphate and 0.17% monopotassium phosphate, is altered from that of classical Terrific Broth, and prevents cell death caused by pH drop.
