Course Overview
This course provides you with advanced topics and techniques for sorting on the BD FACSAria™ Cell Sorter family. In this course, you will learn techniques for sorting rare populations, small particle sorting, and single-cell and index sorting. Additionally, you will learn the physics of droplet formation and how it affects stream stability as well as gating strategies for sorting and analysis.
Course Details
This course is intended for those operators who have completed training for the BD FACSAria™ Cell Sorter family or who have experience setting up a BD FACSAria™ Cell Sorter with minimal assistance. This 3-day course includes a blend of lecture and theory followed by hands-on exercises so you can practice what you learned. In the class, you will learn:
- Tips for improving sample preparation
- How to calculate predicted yield and efficiency
- Techniques for various sorting profiles
