For optimal and reproducible results, BD Horizon Brilliant Stain Buffer should be used anytime two or more BD Horizon Brilliant dyes (including BD OptiBuild Brilliant reagents) are used in the same experiment. Fluorescent dye interactions may cause staining artifacts which may affect data interpretation. The BD Horizon Brilliant Stain Buffer was designed to minimize these interactions. More information can be found in the Technical Data Sheet of the BD Horizon Brilliant Stain Buffer (Cat. No. 563794).
The 455807 monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes CD151, which is also known as Platelet-Endothelial Tetraspan Antigen 3 (PETA-3). CD151 is a member of the Tetraspanin or Transmembrane 4 superfamily (TM4SF). Like most tetraspaninins, CD151 regulates cell migration, interactions, and signaling by forming complexes with other membrane molecules, such as integrins and other tetraspanins. CD151 is expressed on many types of cells, including endothelial and epithelial cells, megakaryocytes and platelets, but not on lymphoid cells.
