BD Pharmingen™ FITC Mouse Anti-Human NPM-ALK/ALK Set
(RUO)Profile of permeabilized Su-DHL-1 cells analyzed by flow cytometry
BD Pharmingen™ FITC Mouse Anti-Human NPM-ALK/ALK Set
Regulatory Status Legend
Any use of products other than the permitted use without the express written authorization of Becton, Dickinson and Company is strictly prohibited.
Description
Reacts with NPM-ALK, a chimeric gene product of approximately 80 kDa, which is the result of t(2;5)(p23;q35) chromosomal translocation. The gene at 5q35 encodes for the cell cycle-regulated nucleolar protein, nucleophosmin (NPM), while the expression of NPM-ALK protein, or p80, comprised of the N-terminal portion of NPM (about 40% of the molecule) linked to the entire intracellular portion of ALK. ALK1 antibody recognizes a formalin resistant epitope in both the NPM-ALK chimeric and the 200 kDa normal human ALK proteins. Cytoplasmic and nuclear expression of NPM-ALK is seen in t(2;5)+ cell lines Su-DHL-1 and Karpas 299.
Preparation And Storage
Recommended Assay Procedures
We recommend to use the Cytofix/cytoperm solution (Cat. No. 554714) for the cell fixation and permeabilization. Please refer to www.bdbiosciences.com/pharmingen/protocols for technical protocols.
Product Notices
- This reagent has been pre-diluted for use at the recommended Volume per Test. We typically use 1 × 10^6 cells in a 100-µl experimental sample (a test).
- Please refer to www.bdbiosciences.com/us/s/resources for technical protocols.
- Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
- For fluorochrome spectra and suitable instrument settings, please refer to our Multicolor Flow Cytometry web page at www.bdbiosciences.com/colors.
- Source of all serum proteins is from USDA inspected abattoirs located in the United States.
- An isotype control should be used at the same concentration as the antibody of interest.
