Overview
The BD Rhapsody™ Targeted mRNA Kits provide the ability to focus on specific targets for single-cell research using the BD Rhapsody™ Single-Cell Analysis System. Drawing from BD Biosciences’ 45+ years of expertise in immunology, our targeted kits comprise markers of interest to researchers. Designed to work with BD® AbSeq and BD® Single-Cell Multiplexing Kits, our targeted assays enable you to perform multiomic analyses while focusing on key genes of interest.
We offer four different gene panels to support targeted analyses:
- Human Immune Response Targeted Panel (Features slide 1)
- Mouse Immune Response Targeted Panel (Features slide 2)
- Onco-BC Targeted Panel (Features slide 3)
- Human T-Cell Targeted Panel (Features slide 4)

Features
The BD Rhapsody™ Human Immune Response Targeted Panel enables cost-efficient cellular phenotyping of single cells, saves sequencing costs and analysis time, and allows better utilization of resources
- Utilizes multiplex PCR to detect 399 genes chosen for profiling human immune cells
- Focuses on genes relevant to phenotyping human immune cells
- Includes genes involved in cytokine and chemokine secretion and interleukin signaling; and transcription factors involved in cell differentiation
and maturation - Allows customization by adding up to 100 user-defined genes
- Specifically amplifies transcripts most relevant to immune-cell function rather than constitutively expressed ribosomal genes
- Requires significantly fewer reads and improves assay efficiency
Find more information from the BD Rhapsody™ Human Immune Response Targeted Panel Brochure.
The BD Rhapsody™ Mouse Immune Response Targeted Panel enables cellular phenotyping of single cells of murine origin and allows you to focus on key genes of interest at significantly lowered sequencing costs
- Utilizes multiplex PCR to detect 397 genes chosen for profiling mouse immune cells.
- Targets genes critical for phenotyping mouse immune cells.
- Includes genes involved in cytokine and chemokine secretion and interleukin signaling; and transcription factors involved in cell differentiation and maturation
Find more information from the BD Rhapsody™ Mouse Immune Response Targeted Panel Brochure.
The BD Rhapsody™ Onco-BC Targeted Panel is customizable and was created via collaborations with clinical oncologists
- Utilizes multiplex PCR to detect 389 genes chosen for profiling human cancer-associated genes
- Focuses on human breast cancer biology and includes genes with known involvement in cancer progression, proliferation, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer stem cells
- Aids molecular subtyping of breast cancer cells with the inclusion of PAM50 genes
- Enables comprehensive surveys of the complex tumor microenvironment due to the inclusion of stromal cell markers and immunophenotyping
- Requires dramatically fewer reads and reduces time and sequencing costs
Find more information from the BD Rhapsody™ Onco-BC Targeted Panel Brochure.
The BD Rhapsody™ Human T-Cell Targeted Panel provides a snapshot of T-cell gene expression to complement traditional techniques like FACS and offers a streamlined assay for single-cell T-cell research
- Utilizes multiplex PCR to detect 259 genes chosen for T-cell profiling
- Focuses on genes relevant to T-cell biology
- Yields single-cell profile data that complements traditional FACS data
Find more information from the BD Rhapsody™ Human T-Cell Targeted Panel Brochure.
