Sequencing the Immune Trajectory from Early Diagnosis to Resistance in Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma (MM) accounts for 10% of all haematological malignancies. Understanding the immune microenvironment accompanying this disease could offer critical cues. By analysing samples across early diagnosis to drug resistance, we uncovered key insights about dynamic changes in immune trajectories accompanying this disease. Our approach of combining single-cell RNA sequencing, CITE-seq and flow cytometry helped to decipher immune response-related transcriptomic across different disease stages. Our multimodal approach offered a detailed view of early disease and the impact of therapy on the MM tumor microenvironment, showing dynamic changes in the immune cell landscape linking surface marker expression with gene expression profiles.
