Description

Naturally occurring human CD4+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) are critical mediators of self-tolerance and suppress aberrant or inappropriate immune responses that can lead to conditions such as type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and graft-vs-host disease. The BD FastImmune™ kit measures expression of the activation markers CD154 and/or CD69 on effector T cells. Reduced expression of these markers in the presence of Tregs can indicate Treg suppressive capacity. The assay is performed in 96-well microplates using peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) activated in the presence and absence of Tregs. It is a short-term assay that can be set up and analyzed in approximately one day. The T-cell markers, CD3 and CD4, are included in the kit for T-cell gating purposes, and CD25 is included for defining the Treg population.

Contents: Regulatory T-Cell function cocktail (CD3 PerCP-Cy™5.5, CD4 FITC, CD25 PE)| CD69 PE-Cy™7| CD154 APC| EDTA.
