ELISA Detection: The biotinylated P2C11 antibody (Cat. No. 559958) is useful as a detection antibody for a sandwich ELISA that measures pig IFN-γ protein levels. Biotinylated P2C11 antibody can be paired with the purified P2G10 antibody (Cat. No. 559961) as the capture antibody, with recombinant pig IFN-γ as the standard. Biotin P2C11 antibody should be titrated (0.25 - 1.0 µg/ml) to determine its optimal concentration for ELISA detection. To obtain linear standard curves, doubling dilutions of recombinant pig IFN-γ protein ranging from ~200 to 1.5 pg/ml are recommended for inclusion in each ELISA plate. For specific methodology, please visit our web site, www.bdbiosciences.com, and go to the protocols section or the chapter on ELISA in the Immune Function Handbook.
Note 1: This ELISA pair shows no cross-reactivity with mouse, rat and human IFN-γ.
Note 2: This ELISA pair is recommended primarily for measuring cytokines generated by experimental cell culture systems. These ELISA reagents are not recommended for detection in serum samples.
Product Notices
- Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
- Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
- Please refer to www.bdbiosciences.com/us/s/resources for technical protocols.
The P2C11 antibody reacts with pig IFN-γ protein. The immunogen used to generate the P2C11 hybridoma was purified recombinant pig IFN-γ.
