Exploring immunodeficiency: current applications and future challenges for flow cytometry

BD-sponsored industrial partner presentation | 21st September at 15:00 in Hall 1A

Catarina Martins, Invited Assistant Professor of Immunology, NOVA Medical School, NOVA University, Lisbon

  • Inborn errors of immunity (IEI) require timely identification of the inherent condition
  • Flow cytometry helps identify biomarkers and characteristic changes in several IEI classification criteria
  • Flow cytometry is at the forefront of patient follow-up and monitoring
  • We need to implement standardised approaches in immunophenotypic and functional settings
