Specimen management for cell analysis
The BD Vacutainer® CPT™ Cell Preparation Tubes are primarily used for the separation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) for in vitro diagnostic examination. They are a one-step closed system for the isolation of PBMCs from blood. The BD CPT™ tubes allow for a unified collection and separation step, that is easier to perform and much less time-consuming when compared to manual FICOLL™ gradient methods.1 The use of the BD CPT™ is a more standardised approach and also results in a higher PBMC yield.1 The BD CPT™ tubes also allow sample storage for 24h before centrifugation. 1
