Overview

For the past 50 years, BD Biosciences has pioneered the development of photostable and bright unique polymer dyes delivering high-level brightness and excellent resolution of dim cell populations.

BD is proud to be the only provider of CE-IVD brilliant violet reagents. Developed using the Nobel Prize winning polymer chemistry, the BD Horizon Brilliant Violet dyes (BV605, BV421, BV510, BV711 and BV786) are now part of the broad BD Biosciences CE-IVD single-colour reagent portfolio, expanding the choice of markers and providing labs with the flexibility they need for their in-house panels.

Our CE-IVD portfolio includes many types of fluorochromes with varying specificities, compliant with the new IVD Regulation and are manufactured in an ISO 13485:2016 certified facility.

The new IVD Regulation (IVDR) sets high standards of quality and safety for in vitro diagnostic medical devices to ensure the highest level of public health protection. BD remains committed to providing IVDR-compliant reagents and solutions to continue delivering safe and effective IVD medical devices to serve customers and patients.
