Preparation And Storage

The FITC conjugate is supplied as 3 µg in 1.0 mL (3 µg/mL) of phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). The PE conjugate is supplied as 3 µg in 1.0 mL (3 µg/mL) of PBS. The PerCP-Cy5.5 conjugate is supplied as 2 µg in 1.0 mL (2 µg/mL) of PBS. The APC conjugate is supplied as 6 µg in 0.5 mL (12 µg/mL) of PBS. PBS contains gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide. Vials should be stored at 2° to 8°C. Conjugated forms should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label when stored as directed.

EBA-1

Anti-EpCAM, clone EBA-1, is derived from the fusion of SP2 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with macromolecular aggregates containing breast carcinoma–associated mucin BCA-225.

Anti-EpCAM is directed against a human epithelial adhesion molecule (EpCAM) that has been identified as a ~40-kilodalton (kd) protein in Western blotting. This antigen is also known as epithelial surface antigen (ESA) and epithelial glycoprotein 2 (EGP-2).

APC
Allophycocyanin (APC), is part of the BD family of phycobiliprotein dyes. This fluorochrome is a multimeric fluorescent phycobiliprotein with excitation maximum (Ex Max) of 651 nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 660 nm. APC is designed to be excited by the Red (627-640 nm) laser and detected using an optical filter centered near 660 nm (e.g., a 660/20 nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.
