Reducing Errors and Handling More Samples Efficiently – How Hospital de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrin, Spain Benefitted from BD’s CE-IVD Solution

The flow cytometry service at the Hospital de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrin, Spain, used to manually pipet single-colour antibodies for their flow cytometry analysis. This resulted in inaccuracies due to pipetting errors leading to inconsistent results, employee stress and repetitive work.

To avoid error-prone manual pipetting for diagnosis of leukemia and lymphoma, the hospital switched to the BD OneFlow™ solution, comprising of preconfigured, ready-to-use reagents provided in a single-tube format. This enabled them to save time and resulted in an overall improved experience for the laboratory staff.

The staff is also able to perform the bimonthly  adjustments of their flow cytometers and carry out the standardized daily setup and QC function with ease.
