The BD™ CBA Functional Beads are color-coded 7.5 µm polystyrene beads that can be classified using a flow cytometer. The Functional Beads can be used in conjunction with the BD CBA Functional Bead Conjugation Buffer Set (Cat. No. 558556) to covalently link water-soluble proteins to the surface of the beads via a sulfo-SMCC chemistry. The beads, once linked to a protein, can be used as a capture matrix for analytes of interest. This vial of Functional Beads contains enough beads for 6,000 tests (6 - 12 conjugations of 500 - 1000 tests each). It is recommended that the user carefully read the BD CBA Functional Bead Conjugation Buffer Set instruction manual before purchasing or using the BD CBA Functional Beads.
