Description

The BD OptEIA™ Assay Diluent is intended for use in BD OptEIA™ ELISA Sets. The BD OptEIA Assay Diluent is a buffered protein solution containing FBS. The intended use for the BD OptEIA Assay Diluent is (a) to serve as a blocking agent for ELISA plates, (b) to serve as a diluent for ELISA standards/samples, and (c) to be used during the preparation of the Working Detector described in specific BD OptEIA ELISA Set protocols.  The BD OptEIA™ Assay Diluent should be clear, red in color and free of particulates/precipitation.



Preparation And Storage

Store undiluted at 4°C.

Warm all reagents to room temperature (18-25°C) prior to use.Discard any remaining working solutions after use.

Recommended Assay Procedures

Please refer to the Directional Insert and the Certificate of Analysis to determine the correct coating buffer to be used and for the BD OptEIA™ ELISA specific protocol.

Warning:  Assay Diluent contains 0.003% (w/w) of a CMIT/MIT mixture (3:1), which is a mixture of: 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC No 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC No 220-239-6] (3:1).
