Description

This preparation consists of a mixture of two mouse anti-hamster IgG monoclonal antibodies. It reacts with Armenian hamster IgG1, IgG2, and IgG3, and Syrian hamster IgG1 monoclonal antibodies. It does not react with other hamster IgG groups or hamster IgM.  Investigators are encouraged to titrate before use, with a suggested starting dilution of 1:1000.

Warning:  HRP Mouse Anti-Armenian and Syrian Hamster IgG Cocktail contains 0.004% (w/w) of a CMIT/MIT mixture (3:1), which is a mixture of: 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC No 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC No 220-239-6] (3:1).

Preparation And Storage

Store undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze. The monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant or ascites by affinity chromatography. The antibody was conjugated with HRP under optimum conditions, and unconjugated antibody and free HRP were removed.

  1. Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
  2. Although hamster immunoglobulin isotypes have not been well defined, BD Biosciences Pharmingen has grouped Armenian and Syrian hamster IgG monoclonal antibodies according to their reactivity with a panel of mouse anti-hamster IgG mAbs.
