Phosphate buffered saline with gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide.

Preparation and Storage

The monoclonal antibody is supplied as 60 µg purified immunoglobulin in 2.0 mL (30 µg/mL) of phosphate-buffered saline. The FITC conjugate is supplied as 60 µg in 2.0 mL (30 µg/mL). Buffered saline contains gelatin and 0.1% sodium azide. The vials should be stored at 2° to 8°C. Conjugated forms should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label when stored as directed.

CD7, clone 4H9, is derived from hybridization of mouse P3-X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells.

CD7 recognizes a human T- and natural killer (NK)–lymphocyte antigen, Mr 40 kilodaltons (kd).

Fluorescein (FITC) is part of the BD blue family of dyes. This is a small organic fluorochrome with an excitation maximum (Ex Max) at 494-nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 518-nm. FITC is designed to be excited by the Blue laser (488-nm) and detected using an optical filter centered near 520 nm (e.g., a 530/30-nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.
