CD134, clone L106, is derived from hybridization of mouse Sp2/0 cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with phytohemagglutinin-activated T lymphocytes. CD134 (Anti-Human Ox 40) recognizes a 50-kdalton (kDa) antigen that is present on activated T lymphocytes. By sequence analysis, it is related to the rat monoclonal antibody Ox 40, a member of the nerve growth factor superfamily that also includes CD27, CD30, CD40, CD95 (Fas), and the tumor necrosis factors alpha and beta (CD120a and CD120b).
