Product Notices

  1. Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
  2. Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
  3. Please refer to for technical protocols.

Protein A has been reported to bind strongly to rabbit IgG and mouse IgG2 isotypes. However, protein A does not bind mouse IgM and weakly binds IgG1. When conjugated to agarose, protein A acts as a solid matrix facilitating the immunoprecipitation of antigen-antibody complexes.

Protein A was coupled to agarose at a concentration of 2 mg/ml of hydrated agarose.

This reagent is packaged as a 1 ml slurry containing 0.5 ml of settled agarose in phosphate-buffered saline with 1.5 mM sodium azide.
