Product Notices
- Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
- An isotype control should be used at the same concentration as the antibody of interest.
- Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
- For fluorochrome spectra and suitable instrument settings, please refer to our Multicolor Flow Cytometry web page at www.bdbiosciences.com/colors.

The V49-2176 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD130, which is also known as gp130 (Membrane glycoprotein 130) and IL-6RB/IL-6Rβ (Interleukin-6 Receptor beta), that is encoded by the Il6st (Interleukin-6 signal transducer) gene. CD130 is a 130-kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a common signal-transducing receptor for several class I cytokine receptor (also known as hematopoietin receptor) complexes. Cytokine receptor complexes that contain gp130 mediate the biological effects of several pleiotropic cytokines, including IL-6, IL-11, IL-27, Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1), Ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF), Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), and Oncostatin M (OSM). CD130 is widely expressed in adult and embryonic tissues including T cells, activated B cells, monocytes, plasma cells, and endothelia.
