44H6

CD49d is an integrin subunit (a4 chain) that pairs with two other ß integrin subunits: CD29 (ß1 chain) to form a very late activation antigen 4 (VLA-4) or in lesser proportion with ß7 chain to form the a4ß7 dimer. VLA-4 is expressed at significant levels on all circulating leukocytes except mature neutrophils; a4ß7 is expressed on a subset of T and B cells, natural killer cells, and eosinophils. CD49d has a role in leucocyte recruitment in a variety of inflammatory and immune disorders. CD49 monoclonal antibody, clone 44H6, is useful for studies of leucocyte integrin molecules, cell adhesion, T-lymphocyte cytokine production, T-cell activation, haematogenous tumour metastasis, expression of integrin a4 on melanoma and Burkitt lymphoma, etc.

FITC
Fluorescein (FITC) is part of the BD blue family of dyes. This is a small organic fluorochrome with an excitation maximum (Ex Max) at 494-nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 518-nm. FITC is designed to be excited by the Blue laser (488-nm) and detected using an optical filter centered near 520 nm (e.g., a 530/30-nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.
