Microplate Barcoding

BD Biosciences offers high-quality barcoding labels affixed to any side of a BD BioCoat™ or BD PureCoat™ microplate. Barcodes have been quality tested for optimal readability and temperature durability.

Flexible labeling service

Barcode symbologies are available as CODE 39 (3 of 9), CODE 128, 12/5, and PDF417. Positioning of barcode is flexible by being affixed left, center, or right-aligned on the microplate. BD Biosciences barcoding services offer a non-repeatable barcode sequence preventing label duplication. Bulk packaged microplates are available for ease of use in automated systems. Labels are able to withstand prolonged exposure to temperatures ranging from -80°C to 121°C.

  • Microplate type (for example, 96, 384, or 1536-well plate) 
  • Catalog number for BD BioCoat, BD PureCoat microplate, or custom-coated plate
  • Location of the barcode on the plate
  • Packaging requirements
  • Quantity (please specify manufacturing lot size requirements)
