BD Biosciences new stand-alone, dedicated “Animal-Free/Antibiotic-Free” AF2™ facility delivers a new standard for safety and quality for cGMP cell culture media and supplements, significantly reducing current risks associated with mixed-use manufacturing plants. Products manufactured in the new plant will be controlled for animal-origin component raw materials to the tertiary level, the most stringent level of control available. The new AF2™ facility integrates cell culture media and supplement-manufacturing capabilities, with the ability to produce complete formulations for the full range of expression systems for stem cell culture.
