Preclinical toxicity assessment is a critical function in pharmaceutical development that continues to increase in importance. Toxicity is one of the leading causes of drug failures. Utilization of new and improved in vitro technologies and in vivo biomarker assays can lower attrition and increase efficiencies in drug development.

BD Biosciences offers a comprehensive line of antibody-based assay reagents and kits that utilize flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, or enzyme immunoassay (EIA) methods that allow early and accurate assessment of preclinical drug toxicity. Kits for the assessment of genotoxicity are also available.
