Advanced capabilities for image montage and 3D visualization
BD Pathway™ 435 and 855 hardware-enabled features, such as high-precision x,y,z linear-motor positioning, allow the software to deliver precise image montage (tiling) without the need for processing known as “stitching.” The hardware and software also work together in confocal Z Stack acquisition to allow out-of-focus haze to be removed for improved image quality and analysis.
The BD Pathway system offers advanced capabilities to create an image montage (tiling) without software-based stitching. The BD Pathway system can acquire images by precisely moving to adjacent image fields and build a montage based on these multiple images. The image montage can be used in experiments that require multiple locations or a large cell population capture. For example, neuron length can be measured over a number of fields with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
The 3D volume rendering tool is built in and allows image Z-stacks to be viewed from any angle. The image views can also be rendered to develop a 3D rotational projection and video sequence.
