Our new virtual classroom training allows you to take a course from anywhere without the expense and hassle of travel.

Virtual classroom training consists of an instructor delivering course information through a web conferencing application and hands-on exercises for you to try in an online lab. The only equipment you need is a computer with an internet connection and a phone.

Virtual classroom training consists of interactive discussions, quizzes, and hands-on exercises to provide a fun and collaborative learning experience without having to leave your home or office.

BD FACSDiva Software Workshop - New Features in v6

Has your lab upgraded to BD FACSDiva� software version 6? Would you like to learn how to use this software and all its functions? Then this course is for you.

Target Audience: This course is designed for users who have either attended a BD digital flow cytometer operator training course or have received informal training from someone who completed a BD digital flow cytometer operator training course.

Note: This workshop is not recommended as a replacement for a BD operator training course.

Prerequisites: Experience with collecting and analyzing data using BD FACSDiva software. Software basics are not covered in this course.

Duration: 3 consecutive days

Day 1: 30 minutes (10:00 AM-10:30 AM Pacific Time)

Days 2 and 3: 3 hours each day (10 AM-12 PM and 1 PM-2 PM Pacific Time)

Course Description

Module I: Using Online Training Tools

Introduces you to the web conferencing and online lab tools used during the training.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Identify and use the tools in WebEx™ Training Center.

Access the online lab.

Module II: Introduction to BD FACSDiva Software v6

Introduces you to the new features in BD FACSDiva software (version 6) emphasizing the Cytometer Setup and Tracking feature.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Identify and use the software workspace.

Run a performance check.

Troubleshoot common errors within the performance report.

Module III: Cytometer Settings and Templates

Covers the different cytometer settings found in the software and introduces the Application Settings feature.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Create application settings.

Describe the types of templates you can create.

Module IV: Data Collection

Covers the daily workflow of data collection using the Application Settings feature and BD™ CompBeads for compensation.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Set up an experiment using application settings.

Calculate compensation settings using BD CompBeads.

Record multicolor data.

Reuse experimental elements and settings.

Module IV: Data Analysis

Covers analysis of multicolor data.

By the end of this module, you will be able to analyze multicolor data using the new features found in BD FACSDiva software v6.
