We keep you informed with regular issues of our newsletter. BD FACService™ TECHNOTES provides clinical and research updates, as well as quality technical information distributed quarterly.

Applications Phone Support

Our highly knowledgeable Applications Phone Support Specialists provide technical assistance on a diverse array of topics, including sample preparation, sorting, reagent use and specifications, as well as, assistance with data analysis and software use.

Phone Calls received between 8:00pm and 8:00am (EST) will be forwarded to our Answering Service. A message will be taken, and phone calls will be returned after 8:00am (EST) on the next business day.

Instrument Phone Support

Our highly knowledgeable staff of Technical Support Representatives is ready to provide instrument and computer support on a wide variety of products and platforms.

8:00 pm to 12:00 am (EST)
Weekends and Holidays

Any phone calls received after hours will be forwarded to our Answering Service and a Technical Support Representative on duty will be paged. Phone calls are normally returned within 30 minutes. Phone Calls received between 12:00am and 8:00am (EST) will also be forwarded to our Answering Service. A message will be taken, and phone calls will be returned after 8:00am (EST) that morning.

On Site Instrument Technical Support (Field Service Support)

BD Biosciences Field Service Engineers are located across the continental US. Field Service Engineers install BD Biosciences instruments (except customer installable instruments) and perform instrument Preventive Maintenance (except for customer performed instrument Preventive Maintenance). If instrument repairs cannot be resolved over the phone with Technical Support, a Field Service Engineer can be dispatched to your site to make the necessary instrument repairs. BD Biosciences offers several on site maintenance agreements to choose from.

Technical Application Specialist Program (US)

The BD Biosciences technical application specialist (TAS) program, introduced late in 1998, is an important initiative of our marketing program. The TAS program is designed to be a multipurpose vehicle for personalized information exchange among customers, colleagues, collaborators, and our company.

The mission of the program is to transform scientific discovery into quality products. In tandem with our sales personnel, the TAS program is a field-based application support program that provides enhanced technical sales support for BD Biosciences - Immunocytometry Systems and BD Biosciences - Pharmingen (featuring BD Transduction Laboratories™ brand reagents) products. Activities of the TAS program include product licensing, facilitating customer collaborations, on-site applications and instrument support, seminars, tutorials, workshops, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and technical support of BD Biosciences products.

Technology Transfer

Have you developed reagents that might be of interest to the research community? If so, are you overwhelmed by numerous requests for these reagents? BD Biosciences can help by commercializing your reagents. To date, BD Biosciences has established over 700 mutually beneficial license arrangements with over 300 institutions worldwide.

In addition, BD Biosciences will produce and provide you with samples of your own reagents so you can conserve valuable resources.
