Preparation And Storage

The antibody was conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, and unreacted FITC was removed. The monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant or ascites by affinity chromatography. Store undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.

Product Notices

  1. Since applications vary, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
  2. Please refer to www.bdbiosciences.com/us/s/resources for technical protocols.
  3. Caution: Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.

Reacts with Interleukin-8 receptor A (IL-8RA), a G protein-linked seven transmembrane domain protein, expressed on monocytes and granulocytes. It is also expressed on a subset of T cells. Both IL-8RA and IL-8RB are high affinity receptors for IL-8. IL-8 is an inflammatory cytokine which induces chemotaxis of neutrophils, basophils and T lymphocytes. IL-8RA and IL-8RB were first clustered as CD128a and CD128b, respectively in the VIIth HLDA workshop,  and then were re-clustered as CD181 and CD182, respectively in the VIIIth HLDA workshop.

This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested at BD Biosciences Pharmingen during antibody development only or reported in the literature.

FITC
Fluorescein (FITC) is part of the BD blue family of dyes. This is a small organic fluorochrome with an excitation maximum (Ex Max) at 494-nm and an emission maximum (Em Max) at 518-nm. FITC is designed to be excited by the Blue laser (488-nm) and detected using an optical filter centered near 520 nm (e.g., a 530/30-nm bandpass filter). Please ensure that your instrument’s configurations (lasers and optical filters) are appropriate for this dye.
