Evolving capabilities to meet changing requirements

BD FACSAria™ and BD Influx™ cell sorters' capabilities can be expanded according to customer needs. The special order systems are designed and configured in collaboration with customers to meet exact research requirements.

The special order BD FACSAria sorter

The special order BD FACSAria sorter can support up to seven variable power lasers. Any combination of the seven spatially separated beams can be used simultaneously. Customers can choose from a selection of 12 variable power lasers. The special order system can support up to 56 colors and 58 parameters including FSC and SSC. A wide selection of detectors and filter sets is available to meet strict assay requirements.

Special order BD FACSAria systems can be equipped with a Forward Scatter (FSC) PMT option that complements small particle detection. The option lowers the threshold on size measurements, which is particularly valuable for microbiology applications.

The modular design of the BD Influx system

The modular design of the BD Influx system makes it highly flexible, and as a result, it offers a range of standard configurations. This flexibility allows customers to purchase an instrument that meets their needs today and add options as future requirements evolve.

The open design of the BD Influx system also makes it possible to accommodate application challenges as they arise.

The BD Influx system can be ordered with a range of innovative options to meet research requirements. Laser options include the choice of diode and solid state lasers across a spectrum of wavelengths and power options. Currently, researchers can configure a BD Influx system with up to 10 lasers and choose specific filters from a wide selection of exchangeable detector modules exactly suited to their research. To take advantage of evolving technologies or changing requirements, special order product customers can add new lasers as needs arise, expanding the level of flexibility and making a BD analyzer purchase a solid, long-term investment.

The special order BD LSRFortessa analyzer

The special order BD LSRFortessa™ cell analyzer has the capacity to support up to 5 lasers and has 30 positional choices for the selection of detectors. It can be designed to meet the multicolor analysis needs of complex experiments that may require a specific combination of unique lasers, detectors, and filters.

The lasers for the special order BD LSRFortessa analyzer may be chosen from more than 11 laser wavelengths and multiple power options for maximum flexibility.

The special order BD LSRFortessa analyzer can detect up to 18 colors simultaneously and can be upgraded later with additional or new lasers from BD as future requirements dictate. In addition to the reduced size, design enhancements allow for easier access to bandpass filters and mirrors, simplifying changes to experiment setup.

Forward scatter PMT option
