BD Falcon™, BD Primaria™, BD PureCoat™, and BD BioCoat™ cell culture dishes are designed for optimal performance and ease-of-use. These exceptionally flat, optically clear cell culture dishes are available in a variety of sizes, styles, and surface treatments.

Consistent and reliable culture conditions

BD Biosciences offers a variety of consistent and reliable surface chemistries for a range of applications. BD Falcon non-treated dishes are hydrophobic surfaces ideal for cell-cell or cell-protein studies. BD Falcon tissue culture-treated surfaces are rendered permanently hydrophilic via a unique vacuum-gas plasma tissue culture treatment process. This treatment process is produced in a closed, highly controlled environment ensuring a consistent treatment surface. BD Primaria, BD PureCoat, and BD BioCoat surface options are ideal for enhanced cell attachment and growth of a variety of primary cells and transformed cell lines in serum-free or serum-containing cultures.

Reduce assay variability

BD PureCoat, a chemically-defined, animal-free family of surfaces are manufactured using a proprietary surface technology which delivers high lot-to-lot consistency, translating to consistent and reproducible results in cell culture assays. These defined surfaces provide an alternative to coating with biological proteins/attachment factors and enable culture in serum-free or serum-reduced conditions, reducing the variability in your culture system resulting in a more predictable biological outcome.

Optically clear and exceptionally flat growth surface

Each dish is designed of clear polystyrene surfaces for distortion free optics and visualization of cells. Our gridded dish pattern allows for colony location, cloning, and determination of plating efficiency. Surface area is exceptionally flat for even monolayer formation.
